Information and Consent
The objective of the survey is to assess the level of awareness regarding Blockchain Technology among SME owners, professionals, and self-employed individuals in the tourism and agri-food sectors of Cyprus, Greece, Serbia, Belgium and Türkiye. The primary goal is to pinpoint the specific challenges encountered by these industries. Subsequently, tailored training programs will be developed to educate and empower individuals, related associations, training institutions, etc. within these sectors on leveraging emerging technologies, with a particular focus on blockchain, to effectively address these challenges.
Data collection and Consent
Responses of the questionnaire are confidential and will only be used for the purposes of the survey. The results of the survey will be made publicly available through a dedicated presentation.
For your participation in this survey, you will be asked to give some data and information, which will be processed in accordance with the general Data Management and Protection Policy of the data processor. Please, pay particular attention to your rights in relation with your personal data.

Please, note: the above-mentioned data will be kept ONLY during and within the Block4SME project life cycle (30/11/2025). After the end of the project and a subsequent period of 6 months, all data that link your responses to your identity, will be deleted and the survey content will undergo a fully anonymisation processing. In other words, no human or the system collecting data, will be able to identify the individual that provided the responses. The anonymised data will be kept for a period of 5 years for the needs of the project and the funding agency.

- Purpose of Data Processing
- Your involvement is vital for the project to achieve its objectives. The purpose of the surveys is to collect feedback from the end-users and stakeholders of the relevant project's expected results about the research and innovation subjects they deal with. The analysis and consideration of the feedback facilitates the creation of useful results/tools, which help the beneficiaries. This analysis is in alignment with the original purposes of the project and its research protocol.
- Data Collection when visiting the survey
- When accessing the survey, information is automatically sent to our website’s server by the browser used on your end device. This information is temporarily stored in a ‘log file’. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- anonymised (= truncated) IP address of the accessing machine;
- date and time of access;
- name and URL of the file retrieved;
- size of transferred data;
- whether or not the download was successful;
- website from which access is made (referrer URL); and
- browser used and, if applicable, your machine’s operating system and the name of your access provider.

- to ensure that a smooth connection is established with the website;
- to guarantee the convenient use of our service;
- to evaluate system security and stability; and
- for other administrative purposes.
The processing of your personal data relies on your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please, note that the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
The questionnaire requires approximately 5-10 minutes to be completed.
